An original gem of the Summit Place restoration project, the Summit Garden Apartments are brownstones that simply have no modern construction equal. Built in 1890, they first served as a hotel in which F. Scott Fitzgerald stayed for a time. Sadly, seventy years later they sat vacant as the whole area suffered in general decline. Robert Engstrom Companies undertook a large-scale renovation of the building along with others in the Summit Place neighborhood in 1989.
As part of the award-winning Summit Place, Summit Garden Apartments are in the very trendy Cathedral Hill area. With great dining and shopping blocks away , the elegant mansions of Summit Avenue a block over, and the Saint Paul Cathedral across the street, tenants have a wealth of reasons to love the experience of living at Summit Gardens.
Each unit has its own private balcony that overlooks a secluded green space shared by Summit Place Apartments. At home, residents can enjoy light from windows on multiple sides, interior brick walls, garaged parking, and common laundry machines. Outside, everything that Saint Paul has to offer is within walking distance, or bike paths lead to the river. Access to two main freeways is just minutes away.
